The Chocolate Bar and Junaluska Recreation

Despite segregation and discrimination limiting opportunities for many Junaluska residents, the community has remained industrious. Members of the Junaluska community have successfully opened and operated several businesses over the years to cater to their community needs. The Chocolate Bar was one such business, and it was a staple of the community throughout the 1940s and 50s as a social club where the Junaluska residents could gather for refreshments and casual conversation.
